Here's the cheap shot that started the whole Ray Bouruqe-Mats Sundin rivalry that carried over through the years after this incident.
In the final seconds of the Bruins-Maple Leafs game on March 3, 1997, Bourque and Sundin were going down the ice fighting for position to get the puck which was cleared down in the Bruins end. Sundin may have been pissed that he couldn't get an empty net goal with Bourque getting in front of him to the puck so he rams Bourque's head into the boards. Bourque gives him some pushes and Sundin pushes back. They move to the front of the empty net and Bourque gives Sundin a gloved punch and Sundin comes back with a girly arm swing. Then other Bruins players jump in and tackle down Sundin.
I don't have and I have never seen the fight that these two had in 1998.
The quality is not the best but enjoy the clip!
