Welcome

HockeyFightVids.com is a hockey fight site where we are all about and enjoy the rough tough side of hockey, with hitting and fighting, but also love the true game of hockey. On this site you can watch and download hockey fight video clips from the past and present for free, view hockey fight pictures, buy nice hockey items from Amazon.com, and join our forum where you can find rare hockey fight clips and post your thoughts and questions about anything hockey related. We also post videos and pictures of all things hockey and not just fights.

About Our Site

This site was created so the game of hockey can also be discussed and not just for those who like fighting. Yes, fighting is part of the game of hockey but there is so much more to the game that it's not just about player A would beat up player B. Hockey is the greatest sport in our opinion as it combines so many things a player must be good at to succeed. We're hoping to provide this site for everyone to have some good hockey talk. Make sure to check out the forum where most of the video clips and hockey talk will be at.

Maple Leafs make big moves and get Phaneuf and Giguere
Posted on Sunday, January 31st, 2010 @ 3:44 PM

With the Ducks signing Jonas Hiller to a four year $18 million contract extension you got the feeling that Jean-Sebastien Giguere would probably be traded or bought out. This morning it was announced that the Toronto Maple Leafs made two big trades. The first trade was between the Leafs and the Calgary Flames. The Flames traded hard hitting defenseman Dion Phaneuf, forward Fredrik Sjostrom, and defenseman Keith Aulie to the Maple Leafs for forwards Matt Stajan, Jamal Mayers, Niklas Hagman, and defenseman Ian White. The second trade was between the Leafs and the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks traded goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere to the Leafs for goalie Vesa Toskala and forward Jason Blake.

I think the Leafs got the best in both deals as they're getting Phaneuf who is one of the best hitters in the league, a good offensive defenseman, and even though he is having a down season I think he will improve on his play. The Leafs though did give up a lot of their offense in these two trades by sending Stajan, Hagman, and Blake elsewhere. Getting Giguere definitely improves their goaltending as Toskala has been awful. I guess we'll have to wait and watch and see who ends up with the better of these trades.

Matt Cooke gets a taste of his own medicine
Posted on Tuesday, December 8th, 2009 @ 2:43 AM

In Saturday's Penguins-Blackhawks game Matt Cooke got a taste of his own medicine with a questionable hit from Duncan Keith. Sooner or later we all knew someone would get Cooke back for something he did. It's funny seeing Cooke cry to the refs after the hit since he does the same exact things, if not worse to other players. So Matt Cooke you got what was coming to you, shut the fuck up and live with it you pansy. If you continue to play the gutless cheap way you play this will happen more times to you. Too bad you weren't hurt as some of the other players you have injured during your cheap career.

Watch the Keith hit on Cooke below and also I included the cheap headshot to Rangers' Artem Anisimov in which Cooke got suspended for two games, and the incident where he hit Ilya Kovalchuk from behind and then they fought. Even Don Cherry called out Cooke for that cheapshot incident with Kovalchuk. The Penguins TV announcers are so bad and stupid, it's unbelievable how they defend these cheapshots.
